“At these conferences, the energy and overall joy of friends meeting and making
new friends is palpable and very uplifting to witness. Participants always leave
at the end of the day feeling happy to have been part of the larger,
greater Boston community and realizing their field matters a great deal.”
Judy Conway, member of the conference planning team

The conference’s Keynote Speaker is Aditi Subramaniam.

She’s a frequent presenter on The 9:30 Call as well as the director of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Policy at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.

Subramaniam will speak about how to integrate “a radical healing framework within early childhood to foster joy and connection through reflective activities and storytelling,” according to a conference email.

“As a family child care educator in Boston, I’m excited to have the Babies and Toddlers Conference
offered in my community. This conference offers incredible workshops that are relatable to
the work we do as early childhood educators. In addition, it is of great value to network
with others and celebrate the importance of our work together.”
Gloria Valentin, The Children’s Garden FCC/Hyde, Park, MA, and
a member of Strategies for Children’s Advocacy Network

The conference is being hosted by the Greater Boston Early Educators Network (GBEEN) in collaboration with Roxbury Community College.

You may know GBEEN by its former name, BostonAEYC, the Boston chapter of the Massachusetts Association for the Education of Young Children. GBEEN has reorganized itself into a newly formed group dedicated to supporting professional development, networking, and advocacy to promote the well-being of children, families, and professionals.

In addition to the keynote speech, the conference will have morning and afternoon workshops, among them:

• The Magic of Music

• Early Childhood Trauma and the importance of relationship building

• Food as a Canvas for Learning

• Tiny Gardeners: Gardening Activities for Infants and Toddlers, and

• What is STEM All About?

So please register for the conference. It’s a great chance to learn more about babies and toddlers and to connect with other early childhood professionals.
