Getting ready for Election Day on Tuesday, November 5th?
We’ve got a collection of resources on our Election webpage that anyone — individuals, early childhood providers, or organizations — can use to help get out the vote.
So, if you’ve ever gone to vote, looked at the ballot, and thought (as I have), Hmm, I probably should have done more research on the candidates and the issues before I got here, then we’ve got you covered.
First, check out the “Resources” sidebar on our Election page.
That’s where you’ll find links to our 9:30 Call video on preparing for Election Day. (The video is also posted above.) There’s also a link to the slides from the call that feature lots of information and photos of many of the candidates.
The Resources sidebar also has links to Massachusetts’ election resources. You’ll find a link to an explanation of the five ballot questions that voters can decide on this year.
You can even enter your address, and the website will generate a sample ballot, one that lists the presidential and congressional races, as well as local races for offices like the Clerk of Courts and the Register of Deeds.
And be sure to make note of and share two upcoming deadlines for voter registration and for applying to vote by mail:
Finally, if you’ve ever thought, even for a moment, of running for office in the future, read the “As a Candidate” section of our Election website — as well as Massachusetts’ How to Run for Office webpage. It would be exciting and transformative to see more early childhood educators running for office.
So please check out all these resources, share them, and help everyone get ready for Election Day.
